Things had gotten rather quiet around the now-infamous Michigan and Michigan State football tunnel incident following their recent rivalry game, as it seems that Mel Tucker and the Spartans seemed intent on letting law enforcement handle the investigation rather than contribute to hearsay and rumors.
That was, until today, when one nugget was released by Twitter user @dhagg42, who reported that an unnamed member of Gemon Green’s family who is also a Michigan student-athlete attempted to attack Michigan State tight end Maliq Carr as he was attempting to board the MSU team bus. The story has been corroborated and confirmed by Maliq Carr’s family.
This incident would have happened after the tunnel incident itself.
As MSU football players were getting on their team buses, a member of the Green family and U of M student athlete attempted to attack MSU student-athlete Maliq Carr. Thankfully, Michigan State Police officers were able to intervene and prevent anything from escalating.

As many rumors are swirling about what actually happened outside of the extremely concerning footage, this is another domino to fall as we wait for more information to be revealed in what was a traumatic night for a rivalry that has gotten quite ugly.
