Penn State responded impressively after an emotional loss last week, rolling to a 45-14 road victory over Indiana on Saturday. The No. 15 Nittany Lions scored 38 unanswered points during a span that extended from the second through fourth quarters, as freshmen accounted for six total touchdowns and the defense dominated.

Operating with three different backup quarterbacks, Indiana managed only 196 total yards and turned the ball over three times, leading to 21 points for Penn State, who collected 16 tackles for loss and six sacks. Running back Kaytron Allen turned 20 offensive touches into 158 yards and three scores, while fellow freshman Drew Allar tossed two touchdowns in relief of starting quarterback Sean Clifford, who completed his 42nd career start 16 yards shy of Penn State’s all-time passing mark.

Following the win, Penn State head coach James Franklin met with media members at Memorial Stadium to discuss the matchup. He is now 8-1 against Indiana, and the Nittany Lions will return to Beaver Stadium for a Nov. 12 matchup against Maryland.
